This article analyzes the representation of technology in the television series Years and Years (2019), a co-production by the BBC and HBO created by Russell T Davies. This audiovisual narrative depicts key problems of the present in a representation of the near future, enabling the identification of new socio-technological paradigms. We applied the method of Causal Layered Analysis (CLA), a prospective analytical tool used both for the study of diverse current phenomena and for the design of possible futures, which includes the levels of the litany, systemic causes, discourse/world vision, and myth/metaphor. The analysis showed that Years and Years offers a vision of a world in chaos, based on a global capitalist and technological project that threatens fundamental rights, and the existence of the human species. In the series, technologies are imbibed in all the fundamental systems of Western societies, pushing common people into obsolescence. Three narratives uphold the myth of the dominion of science and technology: the technological transcendence of human beings, the irrelevance of humans before technology, and the ubiquitous panopticon of digitized power. Through its bleak version of the future Y&Y puts into focus aspects of technological development that make us reflect critically and urgently about the present."],"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publisher":"Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Navarra","embargoEndDate":null,"sources":null,"formats":["application/pdf"],"contributors":["Repositorio de la Universidad de Navarra"],"coverages":null,"bestAccessRight":{"code":"c_abf2","label":"OPEN","scheme":"http://vocabularies.coar-repositories.org/documentation/access_rights/"},"container":null,"documentationUrls":null,"codeRepositoryUrl":null,"programmingLanguage":null,"contactPeople":null,"contactGroups":null,"tools":null,"size":null,"version":null,"geoLocations":null,"id":"00064aabbda9::0027f5b1dae5e7388c82a3ec88667806","originalIds":["50|00064aabbda9::0027f5b1dae5e7388c82a3ec88667806","oai:navarra.escire.net:10171/65330"],"pids":[{"scheme":"handle","value":"10171/65330"}],"dateOfCollection":null,"lastUpdateTimeStamp":null,"indicators":{"citationImpact":{"citationCount":0.0,"influence":2.1746283E-9,"popularity":1.6835128E-9,"impulse":0.0,"citationClass":"C5","influenceClass":"C5","impulseClass":"C5","popularityClass":"C5"}},"projects":null,"organizations":null,"communities":null,"collectedFrom":[{"key":"openaire____::891381590337449b8dfd6259d4031ae1","value":"NAVARA SCIRE"}],"instances":[{"pids":[{"scheme":"handle","value":"10171/65330"}],"accessRight":{"code":"c_abf2","label":"OPEN","scheme":"http://vocabularies.coar-repositories.org/documentation/access_rights/","openAccessRoute":null},"type":"Other ORP type","urls":["https://hdl.handle.net/10171/65330"],"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","refereed":"nonPeerReviewed","hostedBy":{"key":"openaire____::891381590337449b8dfd6259d4031ae1","value":"NAVARA SCIRE"},"collectedFrom":{"key":"openaire____::891381590337449b8dfd6259d4031ae1","value":"NAVARA SCIRE"}}],"links":null,"otherTitles":null,"inDiamondJournal":null,"green":null,"isGreen":null,"isInDiamondJournal":null},{"authors":[{"id":null,"fullName":"Román-Freire, M.J. The risk of symptomatic RN associated with stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) as part of the treatment of brain metastases (BMs) has been a subject of recent investigation. The activation of the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) was shown in reactive astrocytes (RA) associated with BMs. Given that the pathophysiological mechanisms behind RN are not fully understood, we sought to investigate the role of STAT3 among other inflammatory markers in RN development. A mouse model of RN using clinical LINAC-based SRS was designed to induce brain necrosis with the administration of 50 Gy in a single fraction to the left hemisphere using a circular collimator of 5 mm diameter. Immunohis- tochemistry and multiplex staining for CD4, CD8, CD68, GFAP, and STAT3 were performed. For validation, eleven patients with BMs treated with SRS who developed symptomatic RN and required surgery were identified to perform staining for CD68, GFAP, and STAT3. In the mouse model, the RN and perinecrotic areas showed significantly higher staining for F4/80+ and GFAP+ cells, with a high infiltration of CD4 and CD8 T-lymphocytes, when compared to the non-irradiated cerebral hemisphere. A high number of GFAP+pSTAT3+ and F4/80+pSTAT3+ cells was found in the RN areas and the rest of the irradiated hemisphere. The analysis of human brain specimens showed that astrocytes and microglia were actively phosphorylating STAT3 in the areas of RN and gliosis. Phosphorylated STAT3 is highly expressed in the microglia and RA pertaining to the areas of brain RN. Targeting STAT3 via inhibition represents a promising strategy to ameliorate symptomatic RN in BM patients undergoing SRS."],"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publisher":"MDPI AG","embargoEndDate":null,"sources":null,"formats":["application/pdf"],"contributors":["Repositorio de la Universidad de Navarra"],"coverages":null,"bestAccessRight":{"code":"c_abf2","label":"OPEN","scheme":"http://vocabularies.coar-repositories.org/documentation/access_rights/"},"container":null,"documentationUrls":null,"codeRepositoryUrl":null,"programmingLanguage":null,"contactPeople":null,"contactGroups":null,"tools":null,"size":null,"version":null,"geoLocations":null,"id":"00064aabbda9::0050b506e44f6cce879f58cab137b114","originalIds":["50|00064aabbda9::0050b506e44f6cce879f58cab137b114","oai:navarra.escire.net:10171/69060"],"pids":[{"scheme":"handle","value":"10171/69060"}],"dateOfCollection":null,"lastUpdateTimeStamp":null,"indicators":{"citationImpact":{"citationCount":0.0,"influence":2.1746283E-9,"popularity":1.6835128E-9,"impulse":0.0,"citationClass":"C5","influenceClass":"C5","impulseClass":"C5","popularityClass":"C5"}},"projects":null,"organizations":null,"communities":null,"collectedFrom":[{"key":"openaire____::891381590337449b8dfd6259d4031ae1","value":"NAVARA SCIRE"}],"instances":[{"pids":[{"scheme":"handle","value":"10171/69060"}],"accessRight":{"code":"c_abf2","label":"OPEN","scheme":"http://vocabularies.coar-repositories.org/documentation/access_rights/","openAccessRoute":null},"type":"Other ORP type","urls":["https://hdl.handle.net/10171/69060"],"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","refereed":"nonPeerReviewed","hostedBy":{"key":"openaire____::891381590337449b8dfd6259d4031ae1","value":"NAVARA SCIRE"},"collectedFrom":{"key":"openaire____::891381590337449b8dfd6259d4031ae1","value":"NAVARA SCIRE"}}],"links":null,"otherTitles":null,"inDiamondJournal":null,"green":null,"isGreen":null,"isInDiamondJournal":null},{"authors":[{"id":null,"fullName":"Ainciburu-Fernández, M. It has been a broadly studied system since the second half of the 20th century. Attention was drawn to this process after the discovery, in 1951, of the protective role that bone marrow intravenous infusion had against radiation. In the mid-1950s, it was subsequently discovered that this protection was caused by transplanted stem cells contained in the bone marrow. Multipotency of the hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) was further proven during the 1960s, with the development of clonal in vivo repopulation assays. Following clonal in vitro assays, together with the study of cell surface markers and flow sorting, have configured the current view of the hematopoietic system, as a tree-like hierarchy with the HSCs at the top and mature cells at the bottom (Figure 1.1) [1, 2]. Hematopoiesis is active throughout life and it maintains the pool of mature blood cells, which constitute one of the human tissues with highest turnover. Broadly speaking, specialized blood cells can carry out four main functions: 1) The innate immune system, composed, among others, by macrophages, dendritic cells and granulocytes, constitutes the first defense against infection 2) The adaptive immune system, composed by B and T lymphocytes, carries out a delayed and specialized response against pathogens. 3) Red blood cells transport oxygen to every cell 4) Platelets take care of wound healing."],"publicationDate":"2023-01-31","publisher":"Universidad de Navarra","embargoEndDate":null,"sources":null,"formats":["application/pdf"],"contributors":["Smerdou, C. This is a prospective study on a series of 52 women with clinical suspicion of pelvic endometriosis who underwent preoperative transvaginal ultrasound and received a confirmed diagnosis of superficial endometriosis via laparoscopy. Women with ultrasound or laparoscopic findings of deep endometriosis were not included. We observed that superficial endometriotic lesions may appear as a solitary lesions, multiple separate lesions, and cluster lesions. The lesions may exhibit the presence of hypoechogenic associated tissue, hyperechoic foci, and/or velamentous (filmy) adhesions. The lesion may be convex, protruding from the peritoneal surface, or it may appear as a concave defect in the peritoneum. Most lesions exhibited several features. Based on the analytic and comparative study of a large documentary collection that frequently raises complex exegetical questions, the information related to Ossius, bishop of Córdoba, is valued, fixed, and duly contextualized until the end of the first oecumenical council. The knowledge of his life, closely linked to the Constantinian policy intending to standardize clerical affairs, allows a better and more accurate understanding of the ecclesiastical history of his time. After specifying his action in the Donatist schism, his relevant interventions carried out in the East, recently subordinated to Constantine, are examined. These interventions, basically inserted in the vast and multifaceted Arian conflict, show that Ossius takes sides with the Alexandrian bishop from the beginning. This one may infer from his stay as imperial commissioner both in Alexandria and Antioch, cities in which he presides over respective synods and accomplish other tasks: it seems revealing the composition (at least partial) by Ossius of the Antiochene synodal letter, which demonstrates the authority he then had. Regarding the general synod summoned by the regent upon verifying the impossible reconciliation between Alexander and Arius, its course and the exalted position that the Hispanic continued to have in it are exposed; and this despite the fact that the president of the assembly was Constantine, whom he would however replace frequently."],"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publisher":"Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de Navarra","embargoEndDate":null,"sources":null,"formats":["application/pdf"],"contributors":["Repositorio de la Universidad de Navarra"],"coverages":null,"bestAccessRight":{"code":"c_abf2","label":"OPEN","scheme":"http://vocabularies.coar-repositories.org/documentation/access_rights/"},"container":null,"documentationUrls":null,"codeRepositoryUrl":null,"programmingLanguage":null,"contactPeople":null,"contactGroups":null,"tools":null,"size":null,"version":null,"geoLocations":null,"id":"00064aabbda9::01d5ae5ec0302059a07f4ea5af025794","originalIds":["oai:navarra.escire.net:10171/66925","50|00064aabbda9::01d5ae5ec0302059a07f4ea5af025794"],"pids":[{"scheme":"handle","value":"10171/66925"}],"dateOfCollection":null,"lastUpdateTimeStamp":null,"indicators":{"citationImpact":{"citationCount":0.0,"influence":2.1746283E-9,"popularity":1.6835128E-9,"impulse":0.0,"citationClass":"C5","influenceClass":"C5","impulseClass":"C5","popularityClass":"C5"}},"projects":null,"organizations":null,"communities":null,"collectedFrom":[{"key":"openaire____::891381590337449b8dfd6259d4031ae1","value":"NAVARA SCIRE"}],"instances":[{"pids":[{"scheme":"handle","value":"10171/66925"}],"accessRight":{"code":"c_abf2","label":"OPEN","scheme":"http://vocabularies.coar-repositories.org/documentation/access_rights/","openAccessRoute":null},"type":"Other ORP type","urls":["https://hdl.handle.net/10171/66925"],"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","refereed":"nonPeerReviewed","hostedBy":{"key":"openaire____::891381590337449b8dfd6259d4031ae1","value":"NAVARA SCIRE"},"collectedFrom":{"key":"openaire____::891381590337449b8dfd6259d4031ae1","value":"NAVARA SCIRE"}}],"links":null,"otherTitles":["From Córdoba to Nicaea: Ossius in the Constantinian Ecclesiastical Policy"],"inDiamondJournal":null,"green":null,"isGreen":null,"isInDiamondJournal":null},{"authors":[{"id":null,"fullName":"Morelló-Vicente, A. Si bien estos procesos son esenciales en el establecimiento y preservación de la identidad celular, su alteración tiene un fuerte impacto en el desarrollo de la enfermedad hepática.
